Coronavirus (COVID-19)

In view of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation, the doctors in the practice have agreed on the following action plan which will be introduced from Monday 16th March.
  1. All patients must phone for an appointment. No walk-in patients accepted without an appointment. This will help us reduce the risk of exposure for patients.
  2. Patients with respiratory symptoms i.e. cough, shortness of breath or fever are asked to phone the health centre and advise the receptionist of their condition. A doctor will return your call.
  3. If you belong to a vulnerable group e.g. aged over 65 or have an underlying serious medical condition (essentially those people who receive the annual flu vaccine) you are best advised to avoid coming to the health centre.
  4. Those requiring a repeat prescription are advised to phone and your prescription will be sent directly to your chosen chemist. A doctor may phone you for clarification.
  5. The blood clinic on Wednesday will no longer be a walk-in service. Appointments can be made by phone.

We would ask people to be patient with these changes as they are being introduced to protect our most vulnerable patients. In addition, should our practice be exposed to a patient with the Coronavirus (COVID-19), under the current recommendations, our surgery will have to close for two weeks. Thank you for your cooperation. For further information:
